Hi, I’m LENA!

I grew up in Sacramento, CA and moved to Seattle for college in 2015. I graduated from UW and received my B.A. in Psychology and Sociology in 2019. I worked in public education at an elementary school for a couple years, and then began my journey toward becoming a counselor. I graduated from Seattle University in June 2024 with a Master’s of Education in School Counseling. I’m certified both as a school counselor, and as a licensed mental health counselor associate (LMHCA) in the state of Washington.

Ever since I can remember, I’ve enjoyed working with kids. I began babysitting around age 13, worked at summer camps, and then became fascinated with psychology and human behavior when I started college. I found that being an advocate and provider for youth mental health needs is a great way to bring my professional interests and passions together. I truly enjoy empowering young people to be self-advocates for their mental health and providing them with tools to feel supported, heard, and prepared in life.

In my free time I love exploring Seattle’s beautiful parks, binging TV shows, singing karaoke, and watching sports! My go-to karaoke song right now is a tie between Mamma Mia - ABBA, and Dreams - Fleetwood Mac. My favorite sports to watch are basketball and football.
